In 1998 Judy Caton began acquiring mares on her 120 acres in Snohomish, WA. In 2000, Judy purchased Parnelli Chic Olena, a son of Smart Chic Olena. This purchase put Caton Ranches into the horse business. Judy and her four daughters-- Rachael, Aubrey, Emily and Michaela are active in reining, working cow horse competition. |
Today Caton Ranches includes locations in Snohomish and Tieton, Washington and a subsidiary operation of vacation rentals in the Lake Wenatchee Recreation Area near the destination novelty town of Leavenworth, Washington. If your planning a vacation that includes horse trails or snowmobiling, visit The Haven under Sugar Loaf at TheHaven.com (coming soon). If your looking for your next reining, working cow or rope horse, come visit Caton Ranches. We'll leave the gate open!

Nestled
in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, 45 miles north
of Seattle, are the pristine meadows and rolling hills of Caton
Ranches, home to some of the Northwest's finest working Quarter
Horse bloodlines. Caton Ranches was conceived by Jim and Charlotte
Caton in 1961 as a wheat ranch on 2700 acres in Eastern Washington.
Horses and cattle were always a supplement to the farming operation.
The Ranch also maintains a herd of Correinte cross
cattle for use in training and roping. The cattle summer range on
the, now retired, wheat ranch in Eastern Washington. We’re
looking forward to some jackpot roping and cutting fun on the Snohomish
ranch soon.
